Tucson Parks and Recreation is ready to present the community surrounding Alvernon Park with the concept plan for the park expansion and walking path. During the week of August 1, 2022, Brush & Bulky Plus will come to Peter Howell neighborhood. Brush & Bulky will continue collecting materials left at the curb and in alleys PLUS provide additional services when collections occur. Please join us for the 2022 Peter Howell Neighborhood Association's Annual Meeting. We have been unable to meet in person for more than two years so in the name of public safety an outdoor meeting is planned at the most convenient date for PHNA members. The Sol Axe' (pronounced sol - ah - shay) drum and dance community will again lead a parade of kids in Halloween costumes on Saturday October 29 starting at 4 PM. The starting and ending location will be Alvernon Park at Alhambra. Here is the parade route.   Kids and adults have lots of fun with treats along the route. The parade is a neighborhood tradition - please join in, if only to provide support.

Twice a year, crews visit each of Tucson's 26 residential trash service areas to provide Brush & Bulky+ collection. This is your opportunity, here in Peter Howell neighborhood, to clean out your yard, garage or storage shed and get rid of that unwanted debris . . Have materials set out by 6 a.m. on the Monday of our collection week, February 6-10.

Please join your neighbors on Saturday, October 28th for our annual Halloween parade! Gather in the park near the playground at 4:00, and join the parade at 4:30. The route this year is slightly longer but should only take about 30 minutes to complete. At the conclusion, hang around the park and enjoy dinner from food trucks. 2023 Halloween Parade Route
