As you already know, we have collaborated with SEEDS and Watershed Management Group to bring the garden and the cistern to the courtyard. Our next big project, which has been made possible by a US Fish & Wildlife Service grant, will be to create a pollinator and bird garden around the OMAtorium using native vegetation. The grant does not afford us to pay for labor, so we are relying on volunteers from our community. We will be completing the project on Saturday, May 10, from 7:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M. All tools will be provided, even gloves, and SEEDS will be supplying drinks and snacks. If you would like to volunteer, even for just a couple of hours, please contact Carol Smith, School Garden Program Coordinator, at cjfantc@yahoo.com or seedscommunitycenter@gmail.com, or 520-495-5034. Your help will be greatly appreciated!
