Our neighborhood Halloween Trick Or Treat Parade was a wonderful event! Neighbors were welcomed at Alvernon Park to take festive pictures by Dave Carter from Carter Photography at 4:30pm, and at 5:00pm, our parade began. Led by the amazing Sol Axe percussion band, we made our way around the neighborhood, trick or treating from Longfellow, down 3rd street to Irving Circle, down Roberts, and back to Longfellow. Neighbors on the path gave out candy, and those who wished to give out candy but did not live along the path were welcomed to set up on curbsides and give out candy also. Peter Howell Elementary donated bags and bags of candy, which Nancy Huff gave to those neighbors who wished to give out the candy.
All in all, it was a lovely event, and we saw many of our neighborhood children (as well as from other neighborhoods!) enjoying this event. We look forward to a successful event next year!
Please enjoy these photos from the event. Special thanks to Patty Martin and Dave Carter for taking excellent photos for each family (those will be posted as soon as possible), as well as to Peter Howell Elementary for the candy donations, and to Nancy Huff for running from street to street to make sure no one ran out of candy. We also have special thanks to Sol Axe band for volunteering their time and skill to take our festivities to the next level! And of course, thank you, neighbors, for making our neighborhood such a wonderful place to live!
